Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 unveiled on Thursday an event of MIUI launch in China. The Redmi Note 2 has been priced at CNY 799 (Approx. Rs.8,080) and The Redmi Note 2 Prime version which is 32GB Internal storage and 2.2GHz processor will cost CNY 999 (Approx. Rs.10,100).
The Xiaomi Note 2 features with 5.5-inch Full HD 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution display and it powered with 64-bit 2.0 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor added by 2GB of RAM and the smartphone runs on MIUI 7 custom ROM based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 sport with 13 mega pixel with an aperture of f/2.2, 5-element lens and PDAP phase detection autofocus rear camera with LED flash and it has also 5 mega pixel Omni Vision front facing camera which is also equipped with an intelligent beautify mode. The Xiaomi Note 2 fueled by 3,60mAh battery.
The dual sim support both TDD-LTE and Fdd-LTE band apart from this the Xiaomi Note 2 and Note 2 Prime include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and Infra-red. On board Sensor include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and digital compass magnetometer.
The Redmi Note 2 Prime has exactly the same features as the Redmi Note 2 but has 32 GB internal memory and its octa core Helio X10 Processor has 2.2GHz clock speed.
Xiaomi at the event also showcased its new MIUI 7 ROM for the Chinese market, based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The company claimed that the new ROM was designed by a 750-strong R&D team and primarily includes colourful themes, including specific themes for men and women. One of the highlight feature of the MIUI 7 is it supports facial recognition in Gallery that groups photos by people. It also allows users to edit names and create profiles on the phone.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will be up against the Meizu M2 Note and Lenovo K3 Note, when it os launched in India. We expected that an event in New Delhi on August 19 it is launched in India also.
