Samsung India just launched Galaxy Tab Iris with bio-metric based technology that is Adhar Compliant and STQC certified under make in India Plan. The table target govt oriented programmes, Banks, educational institutions.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris will be available price at Rs 13,499. Its availability details are yet to be announced, although the company is targeting enterprises with the device.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris has 7-inch WSVGA display with a resolution of 1024x600pixel, is powered by 1.2GHz processor, coupled with 1.5GB LPDDR3 RAM, 8GB internal storage, further expandable up to 200GB with microSD card. The tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Samsung TouchWiz UI.

The Galaxy Tab Iris has Iris Camera and Subsystem, it support 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, USB OTG connectivity option. The tablet backed by 3600mAh battery.

The  Galaxy Tab Iris enable user to access services Aadhar iris-biometric authentication. The company says that “This alignment will provide more secure authentication and verification process and help the country transition away from the traditional authentication process”
