Microsoft, already invite for an event at New York on 6th of October 2015 and it is expected that the company will launch its new Lumia 950, 950XL, Surface Pro4 Tablet and a fitness tracker Microsoft Band. So far there is also a news coming out that a mid-range Lumia smartphone might be part of the event. Many exepct it will be introduced as the Lumia 550.
Now other information details have been listed on the site that Lumia 550 have a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED 1280×720 pixel resolution display with 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor, Adreno 304 GPU coupled with 1GB of RAM. Under the hood 8GB inbuilt memory and further expandable via micro SD card. and one more thing added on the site that the Lumia 550 4G-LTE supported device.
The Lumia 550 looks exactly like current Lumia 640 and indeed, this phone is displace that device at some point. Some important spec still missing on the web site just like camera and other features.
In some rumor says that the upcoming Lumia 550 has 5MP rear camera with LED flash and also 2MP front facing camera including flash for selfies. In terms of connectivity they says that it might support GSM/3G and 4G-LTE network and apart from all this it also features with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPS and A-GPS.
